I had the same in rivatuner, but after I looked @ power user & turned off testing clocks so do it & than u ll c, coze be4 it allowed me max @1250Mhz & know I am @1320Mhz in '01 & ~1275-1280Mhz in '03/05.

True for 6800 / X800 but the lower the video card the more it equals it up. For the 6800/X800 only dragothic low and nature are down to video card, with the 6600GT you have more for car low and drag hi as well it seems.

On a similar note, I've been playing around with an FX 5500 in the alst week and although I can get it up to 327/580 and have an FX55 at 2800Mhz I only score 8977

the reason, his is a 128 bit card and mine is a 64 bit card, so my car, drag and lobby get hammered and I only win in natre because it is not affected by memory bus width and also I hacked 44.03 onto the card to at least make it look respectable :D

I'm pretty pleased with the 8977 result considering.

Your nature does not look too bad, I guess you are comparing clocks with cards at 580 core and thinking it should be higher ?

What overclocking tool do you use ? If you use rivatuner then you can use the hardware monitoring function to see if your 610Mhz is actually 610 and not something lower, then the difference might be down to one or other of the following

0) Run nature first, any imporvement ?
1) Fast writes on or off ?
2) AGP speed ? Try 67, 86,100 .. 100 should be higher but i have seen 100 give lower than 67.
3) Make sure that you are not running quality and instead running high performance for the video drivers in rivatuner DX/8 setting.
4) Experiment with LOD around the value you are currrently using. if you are using 3.0 LOD then try 2.8,2.9, 3.1, 3.2 and see if it helps, normally it would not give much more but the 6800 certainly spikes quite dramatically.

Might take a while but if you just run in nature up to the cottage and then notice the fastest fps there you can hit ESC to junk the run.

Could be anything though, that's the fun of 3dmark compared to Superpi or whatever .... good luck.

not much in it, but it is worth seeing if it has an effect in this card as it is a 128MB card not 256Mb card as 6800 is. Turning fastwrites off sometimes allows you to overclock the card more as well ( well with GF4 it normally does ! ).

Not sure about sideband addressing, my memory seems to always indicate it should be on for best results, which it is normally.

I would have thought that the best bet would be with LOD though.
