Hey, I recently fried a ddr booster trying it in slot1 (from the cpu) in my a8v rev 2. Maybe it will work in another slot, or maybe i have to mod something first?
Anyone with experience on the matter please post here :)

Check ocz's website and see if your motherboard is on the compatability list.

a8v has ovp on the memory, just incase you don't know thats over voltage protection, i can't remember where it kicks in, between 2.9-3.1, i think it was at 3v.
not compatible with booster and will be on the incompatible list with ocz.

Someone should probably edit the "ultimate 939 motherboard" sticky because it says ocz ddr booster works up to 3v on it.

well it basically does, it gives you slightly cleaner power which is part of what the booster does, and gives you a TINY amount extra, i dunno if it normo fries above 3v, coulda just been a bad booster. I think it was charlie or someone had the board and it just wouldn't boot past 3v.

I had the little knob put all the way counter-clockwise (lowest vdimm) and as soon as i turned it on, smoke.

It doesnt work and its 100% incompatible don't use it regardless of what you hear. max vdimm period is 2.96-3.14v depending on factors..
