is 2.4-2.45ghz with stock cooling good, average or bad for a 754 newcastle?
tried up to 2v vcore but it wont go any higher...
so should i try a new one or remove the ihs maybe?

Thats about what mine did on stock box cooler. Slapped a xp-90 on it and got some 2.9ghz screenshots and 2.8ghz is pretty solid.:)

I guess you could take the IHS off if you want to...overclock is pretty good...go after an XP-90 and then see what happens :D

I guess it's pretty much standard for a 3000, mind you some people are getting crazy clocks on air with newer batches like yours... guess you ended with a not so good chip...well if you can call a 20% overclock with stock cooler not so good :-)

Nano2K, in that case 2700mhz on a 3000 + Winchester is 50% :) You gotta love AMD :)
