Can I dual boot XP Pro? Is so, how do I do it? Thanks

How about this? I received my HD back, and I can't copy my files from the old to the new. Could I just install a new copy of XP on my new HD? There are both hooked up; old(c: ) is primary and new (d: ) as slave.

Should I put the jumper on single before I start? Or leave the jumper's alone?
EDIT: I don't know if that makes any sense? :p

set jumper to master on the main drive than slave on the other - ort set second dribve to cabel select - sorry I am drunk right now
