I've been thinking about this thing since there's no way I can get a Panaflo 92mm 'high' fan in Canada. So is there any way to mount a Panaflo 120mm fan on XP90 HS?
BTW is there any big difference between Panaflo fan and Panaflo BX fan?

hmm yea sth like that, I'm using 6800 on AGP and 2x VX plus booster so I guess a 120mm fan would perform the task better. Can you tell me how'd you put it on XP90? Do I need to mod the fan/HS? Thanks

just look at the pic.... i'm using the clips for 92mm fan, right... but on the left side it's in the lower hole as for the right side i stuck the clip in the upper hole... voila!!!

Do I need extra fan to blow my booster or the 120mm fan on top would do the job?
One more question, what's the best balance between cfm and dba level? I have 68.9/30, 86.5/35/5 and 103.8/41.5...sure any would be much better than stock fan

although 120mm overhangs quite a bit (little further than last DIMM slot) and blows on the booster - i'm still using 2x80mm silent fans to cool it as well as memory sticks.
i would recommend you did the same...
120mm fans are genrally quiet ( apart from 120mm Deltas and Tornados :D ). the one i'm using is Ytech pulling 105CFM and i almost don't notice. although i come from 24/7 use of 92mm Tornado on a comp that was running day/night in my bedroom so i may be biased :D

LOL

would this 120mm fan mounting method work on a SLK-900A as well?

I'm currently using a 92mm Tornado running in reduced speed off the 5v power rail. :D
