with heat sink it idles at 40c nice and cool.
when i took it off it looked like the heatsink makes nice contact, i like the heatsink looks cool.
Off with the heatsink and now to a real heatsink. :toast:

what TIM is that it looks like AS3/5?
this chip seems to be a crappy clocker
when are you going a64
you could also knock a second or two off that Spi if you ran a clean boot, look like some apps are running :p:
btw. the 60mm fan on the hs is what i have on my rams. its good

the barton 2500 that use to clock at 2724 died and needed to be replaced quick, it died
it use to do 39sec pi
will look at new system mid 05, rejects got a 3000+ for me to punish

you wuld get about 10c better temps if u used ceramique becuase silver based need to burn in to work well, ceramique doesnt need to
that aquamark is really low did you run with AA and AF fully off?
i gain about 6k when i run a clean boot from msconfig
you should be getting around 35k with that 9600xt

when ya say ceramique thermal paste, ya mean the white heatsink paste?

yeah im no good at settings with the 9600xt to fine tune it,
and the heatsink on it sucks.
it needs a phase change block and some vmods.
i reinstalled windows. i tried a small oc on it tonight and i got fragments (cause of the graphics card overclock). i use to be able to do that oc before i removed the heat sink one day to look at the gpu core
what are some good cpu programs for benching cpu scores?
i hit the max tonight. 2736MHZ 3dmar2001se run with out a crash.
39sec on 1m Pi. same as barton at 2724
This was with vcore at 2.11v real, I tried 2.2v but no increase in oc.
windows can run at 2760mhz
room temp 26c evap -42c motherboard monitor -30c. idle -45c
i like using mother board monitor to tell me whether or not i have good cpu contact.

CPU benchmark thing...it has a memory test, a ALU FPU, then some 3D software rendering. The memory test appears to be the average of the Sandra memory test

i have noticed that the multipliers are locked 100%.
cant select higher or lower multiplier so 12 is all i can use???
im sort of glad i got the 2800 for that reason. i cant run over 331fsb cause of ram
