Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully answer these for me.

1. I just received the DFI LanParty UT 250GB and I'd like to know what EB users set their memory timings at? I'm not just talking about 2-2-2-5 type of stuff of course, I'm talking about all the memory timings in the bios and if possible, the timings you used with A64 Tweaker.

2. Where can I download the latest A64 Tweaker? I know it's made by someone here, but I can't remember who or where to find it.

3. This is strictly asking for the opinion of those who have tried it. Should I remove the IHS on my 3400+ or is it not worth it? I'll be cooling it with a DD RBX incase that matters.

Ok, that's all for now, thanks in advance guys.

It's a sticky thread in "Best of AMD" section. Made by CodeRed.

Can't answer other stuff, since I do not own a LP UT (I want to, though) and haven't taken off the IHS either (considering it myself).

no idea on the memory timmings.. What i do know is that every mobo and memory set is different. no two ppl have the same a64 timmings.. so just experiment with what gives you the best everest and sandra performance.

As for the IHS, some ppl get a good 5C drop in temps. Others dont get anything. And others walk away with a dead chip... its a roll of the dice.

Would my RBX be able to make good contact with it? Or is does the RBX only touch the IHS and won't go down any further?

use the search feature. search like LanParty UT and youll find people who have teh board and what timings they run.

also look in the best of amd section and goto the removing A64 IHS thread. do some research and if you think the risk is worth the performance benifit, then do it.

most of the information is right before your eyes; you have only to look for it ;)

I took the IHS off my 3000+. I ghetto mounted a socket A waterblock (TC4) and the pressure was uneven so I had to put the IHS back on. The waterblock wasent making good contact than due to lack of pressure so I'm back on stock heatsink now. It wasent hard to do. Took me maybe 15-20 minuts. The RBX will fit fine. If your willing to do it than I say go for it.
