i was thinking about doing the 3.3v vddr mod, i don't have a multimeter but its just soldering a wire right? i was wondering if it is safe to pump 3.3v into my ram 24/7, i know bh-5s can handle it but not sure about mine, tia
Not for tccd. Above 1.75V you wont see any performance increase ;)
Edit: I meant 2.75V....

I see a performance improvement with 2.85v. I need 2.85v for my pdp to be stable at 268HTT. I was going to use an OCZ booster but it doesn't work and I still haven't had chance to find out why or RMA.
I was told that pdp use the voltage loving variant of TCCD. I was going to give it 3.3v myself and find out, but I don't want to do the Vmod.

Just cause it likes 2.85V doesn't mean it will like 3.3V... only way to find out is to try or to find somebody who already tried :D

Mine is tccd 431 that ran fast at low voltage. I can do 295 with 2.65V :D

Do the mod and see how far you can go with cas 2. With my PDP I can do 220FSB 2-2-2 w/ 2.9v (my boards max) and 270FSB 2.5-3-3 w/ 2.7v. I'm sure I could go farther with cas 2 if I had more voltage. Go for the mod, TCCD is rated up to 3.6v, just make sure you have a fan blowing over your ram if you decide to go that high.

It's somewhere on Samsung's website. I've heard it mentioned many times on the forums though.

i ran G-Skill's TCCD @ 3.28 (Abit AV8 BIOS) and got 2-3-3-8 into the 260's.
that seemd to be the "sweetspot" (more or less V = less stability @ 2-x-x-x)
used a Booster
they got HOT! (both RAM and Booster) hotter than with VX or BH-5's...plan on using a fan
i "maxed out" @ 3.45V (but not for long) ...didnt really help any

Hah, I picked some up at Microcenter yesterday for $7. Let us know how it goes.
I read somewhere that TCCD likes voltage when running Cas2...
I tried it today in Memtest, and sure enough...
230 @7-3-3-2, 2.85v, less Voltage I got errors at 230
Funny thing is with cas2.5 I get the least errors(and highest fsb) when set to 2.5v
Weird

lol, i might have run into you out there, just picked me up a tube earlier and the vmod was a success, results:
2.85v
215mhz 2-2-2-5
243mhz 2-3-3-5
260mhz 2.5-3-3-6
280mhz 2.5-4-4-8
3.3v
230mhz 2-2-2-5
255mhz 2-3-3-5
270mhz 2.5-3-3-6
285mhz 2.5-4-4-8
can't get 290 stable for the life of me, seems to have hit a wall, but good results none the less, the chips get pretty hot with 3.3v even 2.85v was hot, but not anything a 92mm sunon can't handle, off to mess with some more settings, i'll try lowering the vddimm to 2.5 and see if i can hit higher fsb :explode:

Looks good, I'll probably bump up the voltage once I get the DFI. What's your system look like?

i could enable/disable the mod by having a bridge between the connections, in my case i modded a pair of molex plugs

can u post a pic or a link or something?
why so high voltage for tccd? this my tccd431 at 2.5-3-3-7 and 2.65V only
my pdp does react to voltage as well.
2.65-2.85v: 2-3-3-6 maxed out at 243
3v: 2-3-3-6 @ 252
maybe it can go higher wif a lil more voltage.

You are using half point multiplier so it's not really 1:1 @295. It's still very good though.
