The pics are older than the work progress...got to take pics of it cut and temp mounted for looks...but i do have the CDrom slot cut, and 120mm fan cut, along with power and reset buttons...I still need to add the LEDs (HDD and Power) and do some grinding and polshing.

nice welding job
thanks...i was suprised how well the job came out. I used a Compact MIG Welder 115v, (haveing to spend 1500 dollars on a arc welder of such, just to weld light alumunim is a misconception) but this was my first attempt. I botched the first sheet, so i used the entier thing for pratice.... (-$30.00..booo) I used 20 gauge, I think, i cant remember...and contiunous voltage control welder. and i had to Purchase an Aluminum Feeding Kit...yipiee...
All and all Aluminum was fun, cant wait for the next time ill need to pull out the welder for aluminum... :)

Under side of the top panel….still need to wire the LEDs but my soldering iron decided to die…
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-032.jpg
Top side of the top panel, mmmm manly bulky knobs….and chrome LED Housings…
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-022.jpg
Installed on case…..the off and full speeds setting on the dial start and stop just before it hit the LED housing…..so you cant hit it…
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-036.jpg
Back side of need front panel….the plate for the CDROM is held on by rivets. The tape is just to keep the light form the LEDs form poking its glow out the CDrom….
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-003.jpg
CD-Rom access from the front….note that the diamonds were grinded down to fit the plate flush….
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-005.jpg
Installed: note the leftover 2-sided-tape form the last stealth installation…lol ohh well.. ill clean it up later…
http://server3.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-054.jpg
Fan…120mm…need a new one this one is silent only like 40cmf or something… will replace with at least 80cmf… This ugly hole is awaiting a nice mesh grill, but I haven’t found the right stuff yet.. I’m still looking for something to use…
http://server3.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-047.jpg
Bolts to hold panel on…there are spacers in between the panel and front of case…so I can tighten the :banana::banana::banana: out of it without bending the thin case into shreds…
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/KillaBee-048.jpg
And this is what it looks like all together so far…i added some mroe chrome LED houseing on the front for the Power LED and HDD led... didnt take a close up of it though...

well anyways… that it… hope you enjoy…

I love it.. Being a redneck here.. Diamond plate is all over my 4X4.. I love to see it used in computers as well.. Great work bo, keep it up.. ;)
Id like to see a whole case made from it with the caution sandpaper grit material used for the drive bays like it was done here.. Looks so good.. Maybe try putting it around the window.. Might accent it a little, not sure..? lol.. anyways, I like your case, it rocks!

Yea, im thinking the rest of the case is either getting coverec in spray-on bed liner stuff (pro done by the sho locally here) or covered in the striped grip tape... To bring the tread plate to the rest of the case im going to make fan frames out of the plateing... (square larger than fan, with 80mm hole in it)
I still need a grill material of rthe font fan? any ideas?
great stuff, love the look
