Size of Tank

I'm currently in the process of assembling the parts necessary to drain the refrigerant out of my A/C unit. I've found everything I need but two questions still remain: do most standard refrigerant guages/manifolds use standard schrader valves? And what size of tank would I need to hold all of the evacuated refrigerant: a camping size propane tank, or one of the full size BBQ ones? Thanx in advance.

Yes, that is a Schrader, it will be like that, same type of valve your car tire takes
