sorry guys if this is a repeated post,

in about 8 hours will be implementing my -17c soltuion to my 3200+ calwhammer, and jsut want a guide on how exactly to insulate a socket properly. this is my ifrst venture into the condensation and frost wrokd and i dont want to mess up. if ther is a sticky aroudn with pics or so, or maybe a link i would really appreciate it. thanx guys :D

i can tell you how i would do it, but it will be different from person to person


i would get a bunch of either dielectric grease or something similar (i use vaseline, it comes off with isopropyl alcohol), and and lay a coat of the grease inside the space in the middle of the socket, and the space 1-2 inches around the socket... then i would cut out some neoprene sheets,,, one small square for the middle of the socket,, and a sheet that fits around the socket 1"-2"... and cut out holes for capacitors, mosfets, and ICs because u dont want to cover those up. also u need to put dielectric grease inside the holes in the socket

on a side note.. what cooling are you using,,,, pelts or water chiller?
