Any idea's on how to mount an evap on this board socket...no holes in the mobo.....just socket clips....

Abit NF7S.....i'll be using a Mobile 2500+ on this rig....and i want this board b/c the OCZ DDR booster is compatable.....

Or any board that can mount an evap on, work with 2500+ socket A and support DDR Booster

Yeah, you'd have to have an ancient NF7-S to not have holes. One with an old non-ultra chipset. Hell my 1.2 has them.

You have a custom phase changer? I just ask because I assumed prometia's would use those holes but they don't. Not sure about vapos, except that the LS doesn't support socket A.

It will be a custom one. I'm still gathering parts. Got a couple compressor's and tubing and etc.....just need me machine out an evap for it. I'm getting rid of my current setup (p4c800e-dlx, nice P4 and etc....) cuz this will be my first setup under these extreme temps and besides, OC'ing the piss out of a Mobile 2500+ is way more fun than some higher dollar chips. Plus when i blow it up oh well, only $60.

Like i said, this board is supported by OCZ Power booster. I'm kinda worried about the NB chip being in the way.

I have a 2.0 with black dimms... Purple/Blue dimms are the NEW 2.0 NF7-S, the newest NF7s have very low OC capabilities

If you're buying the socket a board to overclock like crazy, just get one with holes?

i wish it was that simple. I need it to be compatable with the OCZ DDR booster...........

http://www.ocztechnology.com/displaypage.php?name=DDRBoostermobocompatibility

Says there it will do 3.4v in Slot #3 w/ no problems

That's the board i'm going to be using.

are the current "Mobile XP 2500+" chips still really good at OC'ing???
