so do i need 1 ocz booster to run my 2 sticks of mem or do i need 1 booster for each stick???

also got some gskill mem rated upto 2.8 volts. is it a stupid idea to use a booster and boost volts upto 3.4?? and will this extra volts help me achive tighter timings?? atm i can run 260 fsb 1t with 2.5,3,3,7 i was hoping with booster i can get LE speeds 275 - 280 with 2.5,3,3,7

i m in uk i ve managed to get gskill mem pc4400 but it is the LC version.(533mhz 2.5,4,4,8) not the LE (which has habd picked chips that run 533 mhz with 2.5,3,3,7 timings)
I CANNOT FIND THE LE IN UK ANYWHERE!!
if anyone knows how i can get the LE in uk, i ll sell u my lc chips really cheap in return...... say £130 (i only bought them yesterday £200  )
i am desperate for mem to run 280 290 fsb with fairly tight timings !!

where can i get the bh - 5 2,2,2,,10 @ 300 fsb that i seen :x some serious sick mem :X(ye ye i know its all gone and no one will ever part with such sticks)

anyway any advise on ocz booster and gskill mem is much appreciated (is it safe to run gskill upto 3.4 volts and will i get tighter timings)

"also got some gskill mem rated upto 2.8 volts. is it a stupid idea to use a booster and boost volts upto 3.4?? "

you can kill your DDR with it, not all Samsung TCCD ships like high voltage, actually, most don't, and run best with 2.7-2.8v

you can use the booster anyway even just to take advantage of the more stable voltages it produces.

Has anyone used the Booster with some crucial ballistix 4000? and if so can you give me your results.

Also would you say it is imperative to use a barcket and fan to cool the RAM ??

I have.

The BallistiX (Micron rec "G") dont respond very well to high vdimm. Anything over 2.9v is just more heat.

2.75v - 230 2.5-2-2-10
2.95v - 245 2.5-2-2-10
3.20v - 245 2.5-2-2-10

The Micron rev "G" dont scale like the rev "B" used in early (only for reviewers?) BallstiX and OCZ EB.

Even at 2.75v my ballistiX get rather warm, but not enough to need cooling. At 2.9v+ they do need cooling.

How do I know what Rev they are. G or C
Mine only do 8.4.4.2.5 @ 2.85V @ 250

No where near 8.2.2.

Only way is to remove the HS. I think.

The label on the chips will tell you.

250 2.5-4-4-8 .. damn. Thats not very good. Never heard of Micron chips that cant do 2.5-2-2 or 3-2-2 at 220-230 with ~2.8v.
At least they should do 250 3-3-3-x with 2.8v

Have you tried running just one of them at a time?

What MOBO are you using? MSI Neo2 ?

Maybe its a BIOS issue. Tried a different BIOS?

Sure, but I mean considering the chips they utilize.
