Hey, im trying to help a dude to OC his machine... And realised i have no idea what PCI-E stats are...
Its a 3.4Ghz Prescott on an ASUS P5AD2 Premium...
Does he have to lock the PCI-express like with AGP? Or how does all this work? And what is safe Vcore on a prescott under water? And Vdimm for DDR2?
Edit: I just found out there is a manual OC tab... And an overclocking profile?
Manual is well... Manual... OC tab is where mobo figures it all out, you just decide how many % you want to OC the CPU...
But i dont really get it... There are a couple of things...
PCI Express synchronization mode? You can choose 33.3Mhz, Auto or To CPU...
Then there is: PCI Express Frequency? You can choose Auto, or manual frequincy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc...
