was just testing my new stick of ram with memtest over night.. looped test5 for 8 hours without any errors at 240fsb, but windows bluescreens after a couple mins (although i can still pass superpi 1m).. would this mean that my NB is at its limit? i'm not sure if memtest stresses the NB or just the ram

i've still got stock abit hsf and TIM on the NB :stick: so was just wondering if i should bother taking it off and reapplying with some AS5 to help with stability (vdd set to 1.7v in bios)

thanks for any help :)

well the cpu is primestable at 11x232 which is 2552mhz.. 10.5x240 what i was testing it at is 2520mhz so i am 99% sure its not CPU

Same problem here (Abit AN7), might be the southbridge as i don't have any cooling there. 240Mhz stable, at 242mhz i loose the sound after some gaming. I can go as high as 255Mhz Prime95-stable with a single RAM stick, anything else blue-screens sooner or later.
