Right now i have Abit AV8, 1gb Crucial ballistix ddr400, and 500w ultra connectx psu. I plan to order the 3000 90nm and oc it. My goal is 2.4ghz. So must i oc the ram to 267mhz to get 2.4? How well does the ballistix pc3200 oc? Im afraid that my ram wont oc at all.

You could run the ram on a divider (async to HTT). From what ive heard, OCZ overclocks fairly well

you could be lucky that your Ballistix would do 265 2.5-3-3-(8) Mine did easily, and a lot of other people had luck with them as well:)

I don't have any experience with the ocz ram, but I have the 3000+ 90nm, and I can easily get it to 2.7ghz.

My Ballistix won't hit over 250 or so without CAS3. It sucks.

sell the ram and get the new OCZvx (you will be golden) i love it:D
also there has been some problems with the memory controllers on the new 90nm winnies. (will this be your first OC?)

Mine will only do 250 @ 10.4.4.2.5 1T
255 @ 10.4.4.2.5 2T (which is slower on benchies)
