[QUOTE=ArcticOC]Still enhancing my cooler.. Also solved the problem with high temps on the powercuircut for the memory (4V jumper). The copper heatbridge take care of that PS! More to come :)
Very cool design !! :toast:
You own a machine shop ? CNC ? :D
Thanx!
Nope, i made the hole thing using:
- circlesaw (for cutting metal pipes/profiles)
- table drill
- flexi cutter
Mostly normal tool`s found in a standard garage
Don`t have a CNC bench :(

ArticOC your rig is awesome!!! You easily have the highest clocked passive A64 right? Definitely make a thread in the SilentPCReview pic gallery (hell, go ahead and submit a worklog/article), I'm sure a ton of people would love your mods.
Thanx!
I`m already registrated on SPCR.. But I don`t like that forum :stick:
The posting rules there is too damn strict and some of the moderators is so damn picky. I havent fealt welcome there since the first day I posted on that forum. And the quality level of the users there is not so high, no spectacular mods, I`m easely beating the top clocks there with my system :fact:
If I post a worklog I rather do it here :toast:

Nothing you already haven't seen. Still though this 92mm fan keeps the whole area nice and cool. Even when running 3.5vddr the pcm chip is kept under control. A thermal probe attached to the heatsink right next to the ram slots without the fan registers 80+°c and with the fan it's in the 40's. Show's what some active cooling can do.

Thanks OV3RCLOCK3R :D
This is what i used: http://files.upl.silentwhisper.net/upload2/PA190072.JPG
And how it hangs on the board:
The frame is slightly smaller than the ramslots, so it snapps on... on the ram "snappers" hehe. Bulletproof solution :)

Very nice crafmanship, although it seems that not all the chips make proper contact?
Did you gain any more MHz on your ram after this mod?
diamonddog
10-20-2005, 10:16 AM
The one pic was one of the first tries. Now all the chips have full contact. I won 11mhz extra. From 260 2-2-5 to 271 2-2-2-0 stable. The water have about 15 degrees. In winter time when it will be very cold outside about -20°C I will try give the bh5 -30°C. The water is phase change cooled to 15°C. Lower I have to insulate and insulating for rams is not so easy. So when it is outside cold I don't have to insulate. I hope for 280mhz :D 32M Super Pi.

I purchased them here in Slovenia. They cost ~2 $ per piece.
In Australia, I don't have a clue.
I think they are videocard memory coolers (2 pieces came in
the box) - similar heatsinks were found on the GF2 cards :D

About the brand - No idea  As far as I recall the box just states
ram cooler - no manufacturer. If I see it in the store I will check it for you
(probably Monday).
No, havent tested it yet. Naked they did about 244 Mhz on 3.1v +.03v option
on the DFI NF4 (bios reads ~3.19v). That was memtest #5 50 pasess - can't
do more than 3.1v with my current PSU (it's a 20-pin Chieftec 420W PSU  ). Santa's bringing a new one :D
But I intend to run a few test in the following days if there will be enough time.

Don't mind the towwel at the bottom of the case. That's only temporary to avoid pump noise/vibration. I still have to find a permanant solution.

The dominator cooler pushes a bit of air, but the fans are a bit higher up than i like (because of the dominator heatspreaders)
I'd use it for 2 sticks of normal ram, but not for 4
