guys i have bought some gskill pc3200/pc4400 tccd memory.
i ve been told to burn these new chips to get 10 - 20 mhz more speed from them, which sounds great.
But how do i actually do this so called "burning"
also anyone know wot kinda volts this gskill can handle?
any help is much apprecaited.
thx

dont "burn" them, then they wont work :p
some TCCD like high volts, but most dont, most will freak out with more than 3v.
id say the best way to burn them in is just to use them at high mhz for a while

pretty useless advice here :p:
the easiest way is to find the max stable speed/timings that will run Memtest (use a bootable CD it's much better), then just leave it to run for a while.
I'm currently burning in 2x512 sticks of OCZ Rev2 Plat TCCD using this method, at 280, 2.5,3,3,6, T1 :banana4:
One thing though, TCCD sticks get really really hot, even at low volts, so put a fan on them or they will melt.

yeh i noticed my gskill with 2.7v got fairly hot, strange as this VX kit doesnt really seem to be hot at all with anything up to about 3.2v
The booster gets hotter from what i can tell
just memtest for a night at stable setting, tbh it doesnt matter if its causing a few errors, as when it burns in these will likely go away

well it was due to my winchester having a :banana::banana::banana:e mem controller hence having to run my gskill at a max of 240 (wasted) but then i ended up selling the gskill and winchester to get a 3500NC and VX (as the 3500 has an 11 multi so dont need 280-290 mhz on the mem)
VX is great tbh 260 2-2-2-5 @3.5v, clock wise not far off the gskill but tighter timings
I still have the gskill as im waiting for payment so i could try the NC with the gskill, but i cant be arsed to swap it out lol
