Im wanting to do my own vapo chill cooling setup. Anyone know where I can get a parts list and maybe some blueprints of where all the wholes need to be drilled? I want to make a kit to fit my lian Li pc75 like they have the kit for the pc60. Im open to alot of resources at work, like metal benders, and router tables, and drills, saw's, sheers, everything. So if you could help me out, would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Also im lookin for the best setup I can get as far as mobo/cpu/ram right now. Any suggestiosn. Personally im not gonna pay $800 for a processor, or even $500 so somewhere closer to the $300-$400 range would be better. Ram I was thinkin about gettin the ocz3700 EB platinum, but if there is better ram, please let me know. And for vid card, someone suggested i get the Geforce FX 6800 Golden Sample or whatever. It was like $440 from Buyxg. Anything better than that? I want the best for overclocking, but not exceeding $1000

Read the stickies. They'll tell you what you need to know.

As for RAM, if you're planning on going to Athlon 64 route, you may want to look into some RAM that has TCCD chips. As for the other bits, someone else may know more about that.

Sounds like a fun little project, and welcome to XtremeSystems! :)

If you are still referring to phasechanging systems as vapochills and asking about where to drill, then you shouldn't be building a refrigeration systems. Learn the basics first.

well I want something to keep my system really cool because I want to upgrade and overclock it like crazy, and my water cooling just aint kickin it. I have the eheim 1046 pump, bayres, swiftech mcw5000 cpu block, and the gpu block, back to the innovatek reservior that hooks to the pump. right now, since its cold, if i run speedfan, I get temp1 = 38, temp2=34 and temp3=27. Wasnt too long ago they were in the 40's, FOR WATER!!!!!. Im wanting something better, but dont wanna go spendin $800 for a vapo and still having to modify it to fit my case.

I just built a water chiller for about $120 bux. It can get my CPU to about -20c and i think i need a little more freon in my A/C loop, and it could get a little colder.

Doing a water chiller is a good little "stepping stone" to phase chaning. At least thats where i'm at.

Air --> Copper Air --> Water -->TEC -->Chiller --> single stage phase --> cascade phase is what i think is a good progressive learning curve.

missing the TEC link there ;)

It sure was my first encounter with sub zero temperatures and insulation :).

plus....i'm fixing to use that compressor from my chiller on my phase project. So you can recycle some of it too.

My first subzero adventure was with my Mach II :) Jayfaas, you could look into getting a Prometeia Mach II. Most decent online computer stores should stock them.

The cheapest place to get Vapochills and Mach 2s in North America, they say.

still soooooo much money, thats ridiculous. I'd have to work a whole 2 weeks busting my ass to get that, then i'd be broke afterwards. Geez, and then they dont even make a kit to fit the pc-75 case, even gayer. I wanted the Vapo LS but geez.

I found that http://www.hardwaregods.net/ is the cheapest in the US.
