i installed D-spy on my system just last week and today i went for my weekly adware-spyware scan using webroot's spysweeper and D-spy came up as spyware.... It explained it as a spying app that loggs every event on your system including internet connection habits. Is this app what webroot says it is or is this company overexaggerating??

if it is spyware the dspy.exe file doesn't ever want access to the internet on my system. i just looked at my firewall program access and it's not listed there and i have never given it permission. my firewall usually alerts me if a program is trying to gain access through another program also. and i don't know about logging every event, but it does log the d2ol candidate information for use with dspy itself. you can look at the log file by opening dspy.log with notepad or a text viewer.

yea i know what it does for D2OL but my proggie told me that it was some medium risk spyware/malware i got the same result with spybot search and destroy!
maybe because it has spy in it?

i doubt it, why would it have a classification under it, and a description of what it does, im still going to keep it on me computer, i just blocked it access to the internet thru my firewall

if it is spyware it must have very efficient code because the files that is uses are very small. i think it's sets off the spyware scan programs because it contains the word spy in it that's all.

but why would 2 different programs have profiles of what it does, they both say the same thing

i think it is the same one, it is located in the same location as the one i installed for the D2OL app. This means it is definatly the same app, it doesnt matter though becuase i am not going to uninstall it, anything for the folding!
