At the beginning there was the Kryotc the first(?) ever phase change cooling for a CPU !

http://unlimitedhardware.com/product_reviews_articles/KryoTech_Renegade_review/ren003.jpg

I was blast by that, It was a real passion for a long time (now too :))
At first, I didn't know nada about phase change cooling so I thought that the easy way will be to buy me a vapochill or prometia...its expensive ! man, even when I got a credit card and I could pay with something like 18-24 payments I couldn't do it... once I did it ... I ordered a vapochill PE, I planed to mod it, I cancelled :) (They couldn't get it anyway) only the vapochill is "available' here.

So, order one from out of the country and pay all the taxes and all or build yourself one...that was what I though to myself.

I built one.

First step: I learned allot about it
Then I checked around, I asked AC workshops if they can give me a hand.
I found this nice dude that said "yeah sure, I'll do it, it's an hour work".
(sure it is...:))

I showed him some stuff (your guide too, bowman). He said that first thing will be to get an evap, I got one, Bakers block :) cheaper then making one
.
I bought my fluke, 52-II, one of my true loves ;)

"what compressor do I need ?" I was thinking..."well....what the best use?"
Let me tell you:
Vapochill LS: Danfoss FR8.5CL or FR5.5CL
Mach II GT: Danfoss NF9FX
Mach II: Danfoss NL11F

I could get only the NL11F, so I bought it without knowing that it's the Mach II compressor ! :)

Two years of becoming friends with the AC guy and looking for the right time...when I'll have the time and the money to do it...passed.

My system was ready - I was blast again
-47C no load at his shop on the first runs (r507 loaded)- I was mega blast

v1.0 looked like this:

v1.5:

v2.0:

My record, no load:

evap mount:

numbers ?
here you go...
my late mobile 2600+

the evap mount was bad...It killed the poor mobile... I broke it like 4-5 times till it died (finally - lol)

In order not to break any more AMD bare core cpu's I built this :

I used the baker evap mount I ordered with the baker block.
The only problem was the mount holes were just for socket 478 or K8, why no 462 ? why ? I had to build my own.

http://www.emp.co.il/other/phase%20change/evap.jpg

now I was ready.

I got another mobile 2600+, it did "only" 2.8ghz @ 1.95v, which was bad for me, the dead one could do 3ghz prime stable and post up to 3.3ghz @ 2.2v

I gave it back.
I got a palomino 1500+ from a friend(till I buy a GooD cpu), it did 1.33ghz @ 1.9ghz @ 2.0v, post up to 2.1ghz.

now I need to tune the system, I got a 170W TEC I can run @ 113W and I'll try for sure what bowman told me.

now I'm running:
Palomino 1500+(1333mhz) @ 1.9ghz @ 2.0v @ 100W~

CPU (MBM5):
idle -7C~
load +8C~

Evap:
idle: -33C~
load: -25C~

I can still enjoy HL2 with my 9700pro @ AAx4 AFx16 1024x768

updates to come...

remember to isolate

Vapochill LS: Danfoss FR8.5CL or FR5.5CL
Mach II GT: Danfoss NF9FX
Mach II: Danfoss NL11F

I could get only the NL11F, so I bought it without knowing that it's the Mach II compressor ! :)

I thought Mach II and Mach II GT used the same kompressor?!

Just found out that the Danfoss NF9FX (110v) compressor used on the Prometeia exported to the US has more cooling capacity than the Danfoss NL11F (220v) used in Europe.
