Damn nice block you have got there !! :) But what is it exactly made of. To me it looks like brass which in my opinion would be very bad as evaporator owing to its ability to "heattransfer"?
But again really nice milling work !!! ;)

thx, its copper :D
its sorta ugly..but the blocks dangerden gives u aren't polished, that an i scraped the block tons of times when i was trying to set the bit in the right position

Very weirdly construction..

Be careful with this flimsy wall, it's VERY flimsy - 1mm, the phase change
unit should rip out

I suggest you to braze 2-3mm copper spangle, just for safety

yeah, it was only a trial, the sides of the walls will be .125" thick, i just didn't setup the bit rite, so the maze will be really centered at the center of the block

that is a really nice block. that would work really well with the autocascade. would be hard to block that babie.
once ya got them going i would be intersted in trying that.

Looks good I made a few out of brass and at -100C they work as well as copper. This cascade was build a year ago and is currently used by Fugger as a GPU cooler It was originally used for the six day run at Comdex in las vegas last november. The design is simmilar to Yours and the pins are a good wat to remove heat. and with the Maze you wont need a second chamber and it should work in all directions.

For a block, made with a CNC, it looks bad.

?I didn?t think it looked bad?I was pretty happy that I did one at least
that and the block wasn?t polished?so It looks dirty
also, shuddup vinci...i've told you already, if you can't even be courteous...don't speak at all
(sorry mods..i know your take that out...but at least my ego is gonna heal a bit faster now :P )

I think what vinci is trying to say is that a CNC once setup will follow a programmed cutting cycle, so you must have done the milling by hand?

I think it looks cool, hope it works good:D

?no, not hand milled, I think that would be impossible?but I had to get my own gcode with a lot of help?that and since I did it during school, I had to modify lots of it cus i had so little time(i have to stay with the machine whenever i want to mill), which is why I made some mistakes about the pins
thx ghz

is that the final over all design, or are you gonna add some more.
ya eva though of some little squares cut in between pins into the solid c copper bit.
that would give forever turbulence and more surface area.
I mean once ya get use to machine first and get the gcode under control.
what are the dimensions of the block?

HawainPanda

its 2x2x.5 (WxLxH) inches
