why not just get another one? Thats a nice board you had there.
I've heard many problems with the P4C800's. Weird BIOS settings and such. For a good mobo that generally never has problems id suggest abit ic7 max3 or possibly a DFI Lanparty.

AI7 is worth a look, especially if you don't want to mod and need some decent VDimm...

I'm sorry to tell you but the Max3 only supports 3.2vdimm...
anything higher the vtt lose the tracking...
I would have suggested the AI7 too if you needed 3.2 without mods, or the IC7-G if you don't have any problems modding. As far as I know it's easier to mod a IC7-G then a Max3.

I got the Max3. Running on water.
My cpu temp is idle at 42 (when using the asus, it used to be idle at 28 !!!!!!)
My 3.4c still un-overclockable.
my cpu is a piece of shi7
The board is good.
:(

Sorry to here of your processor, Can't really rely on temp readings of either board, best to get some kind of external device like a compu-nurse or similar..
