Hi,
I'm trying to oc my 2.8 on my p4c800 deluxe but I can't go higher than fsb 220 after that my system become unstable with strange stops, blue screen and memory dumps, and Q3 freezes with system crash after some minutes and I've to push reset. Doesn't matter if I run the mem on 1:1 or 3:2. Tried with Vcor up to 1.7 and with only one mem stick also. Have done the DropMod, but it didn't helped me to reach higher fsb.
Anyone willing to help me?
Have seen on the database that people have manished to run it much higher than I can dream of...

I wouldn't think that the processor would be giving out....have you tried giving the chipset more voltage? It could just be that the board isn't able to give a solid 220mhz FSB with stock Chipset voltage....

Thanks for your reply, sorry if I sound stupid  but how do I give the chipset more voltage? In BIOS Setup I can only see CPU Vcor, DDR Ref Volt and AGP VDDQ Volt.
Sorry again

mmm...I thought that was in the BIOS on that board....mmmm...look around some more. Maybe under the same tab as the RAM? It could be RAM related....My board, AMD I know, doesn't work witha 400mhz FSB and I think its still RAM related...I can't give the proper voltage to the RAM so I'm not in a good spot. I believe there is a sticky for this board, maybe look there....possibly mod? :) if you don't, don't feel bad, I haven't either...since its my main board...
Is your PCI/AGP bus locking? I just thought of that. don't know what took me so long...lol
Anyway, some where in the BIOS it should say something like "AGP Speed" or "AGP freq." Make sure its locked, if you can set a value, put in 66mhz, if it still doesn't work try 67. Find your AGP voltage. You may have to give it a boost, but don't get too out of control there. :D Anyway, try that. Make sure you giving your RAM enough juice.
I wouldn't think it would be the PSU, thats a nice one, but it still could be. Maybe swap out and try a friends? Try unpluging some extra things from, second HD, Second Optical drive, etc.

I've already locked my AGP/PCI Freq to 66.66/33.33.
I've this option to set DDR Ref Volt - Auto, 2.55, 2.65, 2.75, 2.85 - should I try to go with 2.85 or maybe do the Vdimm mod and push it higher?
What can you recomend to set the AGP VDDQ volt - to 1.50, 1.60, 1.70 or 1.80?

Make sure "spread spectrum" is disabled in your bios. Set your AGP voltage to 1.6 because that includes your FSB ect.
Edit: Also set your VDimm to 2.85.

Thanks for your reply.
Here is the results of my tries...
I've disabled the spread spectrum, set the AGP V to 1.6 an Vdimm to 2.85.
Can't run with FSB above 217 - over that I can't get the system stable to run Prime95.
Prime95 works with FSB 217, Vcore set to auto. Have tried with FSB 218 and Vcore set to 1.625 up to 1.7250 but I get application error at Vcore 1.6500 and BSOD with Stop 0x0000008E with Vcore set to 1.6500 and above.
Tried with Dram set to 5:4 and 3:2 but with same results.
With ASUS Probe I can read that the 3.3V is between 3.232 and 3.296, could it be the 3.3V that holding me back?
Any more ideas..............
