Hi all,

Lately I see a lot of talk about changing the charge on AC units for better results, so here are a few questions:

Is there a noticable change? I can get -30 ish temps at the evap now, will I notice a difference ?

Secondly I is there any specific amount to take out, like what pressures would be good? I am capable of adjusting the charge by putting a valve in line but I dont know what im looking for once I change it.

Thanks for any input on this

According to Gary having your refrigerant properly tuned can make a huge difference. A little while ago he seemed extremely eager to help someone do just that. You might want to PM him.

charge your system with a small charge (50psi high), then run the system with your heatload, (with the chiller on the cpu) and then keep adding little amounts of refrigerant and the temps will drop, keep doing that till the temps stop dropping and plateau
