Hi, i've i little problem with my killer, the evap don't gets all cold with ice, i used a 5 meters of 0,9mm capillary tube.

another thing my red manometer don't move, what can i do for check if it are broke.
i let the sistem run with r404 and i get temp lower than -49.9(:banana::banana::banana: termomether),room temp about 10 degrees C.
bye and thanks

Shorten the cap tube to about 2-3m.

capillary is too big and can't reggere the temps when charged!

eh che ci vuoi fa se nn mi ricordavo l'inglese :D

i have found CO2 in bottles like MAPP, do you think it's ok to use by expanding it in a phase change sistem?

ok, i'll do but how many watts i can dissipate with 3 mt capillary tube?
malachia anche tu qui??azz mi hai scoperto :D

you can not use CO2 in a normal cooler

well i want to simply expand it in a block and then loose it...not a circuit like phase changes...i founded a bottle big like mapp gas at 13€...

Where did you find Co2 in a mapp gas bottle???? i desperatly need some.

Go to a DIY store (don't know if this is the right word), you may find little bottles with CO2 there.
Here in Austria they look like the first grey bottle:

someone can help me with the high side manometer??when i charge for check leaks it works, after opening the low side for charging it stops working.

Are you using a professional manifold gauge? If the manifold is malfunctioning you may need to change the gauge for a new one or get a new manifold.

it have four ways ref ,low, vac, high.

When you want to charge connect the low side and high side hoses to your system, the vac to your vacuum pump, and the ref to your tank of refrigerant.

Open ALL the valves on the manifold (but dont open the valve on the refrigerant tank)

Vacuum the system for an hour.
Close the vacuum valve
Open the refrigerant tank valve so that the pressure rises up to Opsi
Close the refrigerant valve
Open vacuum valve
Vacuum for another hour
Close the vacuum valve
Open the refrigerant tank valve so the manifold reads 0psi again
Close the refrigerant tank valve
open vacuum valve
Vacuum for 2 hours
Close the vacuum valve
Close the High side (red) valve
Start up the system (the only valves open now are the refrigerant and the low side)
Slowly add refrigerant to the system until the suction pressure reaches about 4" of mercury.

This is what I do and I havent had any problems with moisture or charging.

ok, i understand, i do the same thing but i switch vacuum pump with the ref tank, i don't use an entry(the ref), because i haven't a hose. so if the red don't move, probably will be broke??

If your red valve wont move its probably broken. I suggest that you get a new manifold. Ritchie yellow jacket and robinair make good manifolds, you might want to look into them.

you may need to adjust the valve in the red hose.
look inside it the little metal pin might not be stick out enough to depress the valve to take a pressure measurement, its happened to me when i changed the rubber seals in the hoses.
Never know it could be that simple

Yeah, shrader valves and depressors are picky things. Just dont push the shrader valve in if theres presure in the system otherwise the gas will escape and hit you in the face (i know from experience... always look away from the shrader when disconnecting your gauges.)

i know, already tried, it is not so beautiful :D, red manifold now is ok, now i go for leaking another time and then charge, thanks at all

Hi, after leaking test pressurizing system and shave foam, i've charged the system, temperature go down very slow, and after 1 hour with no load i get -23.
temp amb is around 10 degrees.
low side pressure -3.63 psi(down 2 from the 0 i hope)
high side pressure 130.9 psi
3mt of 0.036 cap tube

I would think you should get lower temps than that. What Gas are you charging with?

i think r404a....then dimas try to have low pressure side at -0,1bar ;)

yes,now i have -0.1 bar and on the high side i have 123,25 psi,i'm using this compressor: TECUMSEH thb1355ys lra 10.0 fla 0.88 R134 about 122 watt
