Dual channel question

My question is..I have a NF7-S mb, it has 3 memory slots, if i put a stick of 512 mem in all 3 slots will it still run in Dual channel?? or can you only use the 2 slots for dual channel...

3 x 512 is single channel. 2x256 +1x512 is dual channel.

Well im Confused, what Sparkie said makes sence..the thing is i put 3x512 in my system and the MB indicates Dual channel is enabled, sisoftsandra also sees it as dual channel...is this an error or is it actually dual channel?

the nforce 2 boards are "dual channel" not really true dual channel, it would go to integrated peripherals i believe. You won't see an increase in bandwidth using benchmarks though.
