ECS and Via, ewww, what a combo.. No thanks. Probably an ok board but I would be quite surprised if it has much for OC features.

HT2000 is only advertizing. With the s754 board there are a lot of boards which claim HT1600, which is actually 800 x 2.
Since the s939 procs use the 5x LDT multi and the HTT bus runs @ 5 x 200 Mhz = 1000 Mhz HTT, which translates to HT2000 if you like expressed in DDR values.
So I'm not impressed here, but I am curious how the board performs. Generaly ECS boards need a lot of mods since the voltages aren't what I need, but for every problem is a solution :D. I wonder how this board reacts on TCCD.
Is there anybody out here who actually has one or is planning on getting one?

Mentioning ECS in this forum is kinda like mentioning Honda at Concours de Elegance.
If you catch my drift. ;)

Hey,
we would have all said the same about DFI before they released their rev B series of nForce 2 boards with the Infinity and the Lan Party. Before that they sucked, and suddenly they got bios and board engineers that were actually good, infact better than good, more like awesome. So the rule is, you never know what the future may hold.

This is so true. Not to long ago, I don't think anyone would consider buying DFI. Now people are actually holding off upgrading until the S939 comes out! Weird!!!

Don't think ECS, nor Via can make a board good enough for me to consider.. ;)
And while DFI does make some decent fast boards they are still of above average quirkyness...

Even if it did have a real HTT value of 2000, I doubt it would make much diffrence.

I've actually never heard of DFI before their nf2 board. But I've heard alot of ECS and that's why I'll never even going to consider buying anything they'll ever produce unless half the community says otherwise.

No, we've already seen that's there's no real difference between 500 and 1200 HTT. HTT means :banana::banana::banana:. It's the mem speed that counts, and ofcourse 1:1 ratio towards fsb. It's like pci-e 16x...Yes, one can discuss future proof, but we'll always have more then we need and any half intelligent producer will follow whatever Intel or microsoft recommends. That's why we all going to sit on our BTX systems in a year because every exciting moderboard will be btx. It's like s754 and s939. 939 actually doesn't have any feature that makes it better then s754 (unless that rather useless dual-ddr). But now there's winchester, and soon there will be NF4 (with that pci-e again...) and we'll be almost forced to buy s939, and people do that now even thou you have to buy an MSI over that DFI. We are all slaves under the multidollar corporations out there. I remember when you could be on top with a $80 1700+, a 9800Pro and some water, now you have to buy a fx-55, and soon nf4 with 2x 6800ultra...cheap.
Lost track somewhere in the middle, but hey, am I right or am I right??

No, I don't catch your drift on this one....
Elaborate?

ECS makes lower end motherboards. In my opinion sub-par.
