I am looking for a 3500+ 90mm , what mobo do you recommend ? I am looking towards the Asus. Are there any problems?

does the athlon fx 55 have any issues? i know there is a cold boot problem .

Hey bro - i too have an FX55 w/VapoChill and it LOVES the cold - the coldboot problem seems to only be with Winchesters...not the ClawHammers...either way, as far as mobo, from what i've read, and from my experience, the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum is the BEST 939 motherboard, period. It overclocks amazingly well and even at stock performance is great. Just my $.02, i'm sure someone else has something to add. Good luck!

Hey alterbridge86....how far are you pushing your new chip?? I have a couple sticks of the same ram as you coming to replace the OCZ pc3700 eb and ram booster.What htt and multiplier are you using?
Mine goes up to 3.3ghz if I detune the ram...my ram booster crapped out.

Mike - i've been able to boot up at 3.3, but wasn't stable at all...my G.Skill unfortunately sucked, and it couldn't pull 550mhz at the specified timings...from what i hear, the new revisions that the shops got do it just fine, but i got an older one and they were bad...so, i've gotten an RMA and they went out today, so now to wait for the new ones...i might even sell them when they get here and then get some nice OCZ PC4200 EL...they look SWEET...i was using a HTT 3x, CPU 12x, and 275 at max. :( Hopefully my new rams will do much better. We'll find out...

Unreal - as far as Asus, i haven't really heard that much, if you google it i'm sure you'll find a slew of reviews, all i know is that everyone i've seen says that the MSI undoubtedly does the job and then some. Good luck.

I can give you loads of first hand knowledge on the MSI Neo2 and all it's hiccup's and oddities. I do know the ASUS and MSI Neo2 have had cold boot issue with winchesters but with the latest beta bios they seem to be fixed. You can always read the 939 motherboard guide on here under BEST of AMD which gives a ton of info on all these boards.
