Valve Thank-You's - Anyone Interested? (Please look inside)

Well since I read that big article that was wrote on HL2, and understood everything that everyone at valve has gone through. I am taking the time to write a big thank-you card to them, and was wondering if you guys could please leave your sign in names along with a little comment for Valve. Then I'll copy everything to one page and email it off to them.

Disposibleteen@Xtremesystems forums- i kinda like the game sofar, i am running my 9800XT and it runs very nicely, i dont everything turned up yet but i think its great that the game looks nice even when i dont hav rthe top of the line gear. Good job Valve!

Got a couple of friends who bought the retail. If they knew about this place you would get some reaaaaallllyyy bad comments. People pay 50 bucks to reward the developer for the work. They dont need a thank you because they werent prepared to follow through on what they tried to impliment on a game. As per your request I will "not be a jerk" but valve and online activation may have turned more people away from retail games than helping prevent the illegal distribution of them.

Well you wouldn't have had that problem if you bought it over STEAM from VALVE and preloaded.

However, if you bought it from the store, that would be Vivendi not Valve I think, once you are in game, that is valves doing.

2 bought store. 1 did the pre load thing. all 3 had to wait a long time to even be able to play because of required online activation and the down time of steam.

Thank you valve for putting that 2 second delay on the awp which gets me killed on a daily basis.

Thank you valve for making the hit boxes in cs so huge that you just have to shoot in the general direction of the enemy to kill them

Thank you valve for making VAC the poor most ludicrous attempt at anti-cheat to ever come to cs

Thank you valve for making interp in cs so bad that dead on shots don't hit the enemy

Thank you valve for adding voice-com to cs so I can listen to 13 year olds scream over the mic about how I cheat

Thank you valve for totally ignoring the community and what it asks of you in updates to cs.

well...CS:source is included with the game and it is...almost mandatory that you install cs (ebworld sent out an email notice saying that if you didnt install CS...there may be an error during your installation...i got that email about 6 hours ago).

So Id say since CS is Bundled with Half-Life...you could sorta make the point that....

well....here are my thoughts...you know...if Doom3 was just DOom with updated graphics than HL2 is HL w/ updated graphics and a "hold/use" key.
there was a slim moment of coolness for me but so far im not that impressed..

,,please note that I have NOT completed the game yet so my opinion could very well possibly change...it's just so far...in the game..i dunno...not really that impressed,,

Well I got it through Valve online registered and downloaded it after getting the free ATI coupon. Coupon says they will be sending me a copy but I have heard they arent sending me a copy of the game. Dont feel like sitting around and everytime I do a free install sit and download the game. Would just like to pop in a CD and install.

............ just back up your steamapps file, then its even faster then installing a cd lol and that takes care of all your games

im sittin here half an hour now waiting for those crapped up servers to unlock my "game files"

hell i never was soo angry about a game ever before!
i don't even remember why i bought it in the first place...

[edit] well now that this steam sucker is up and running and i've played a little it seems to be a nice game
but the gameplay is kinda laggy, it stutters whenever loading sound files - somebody know a fix for that?

hmmm......I had that prob.....went away when I went to 1 gig of ram from 512
