half life 2 "crap" lectors edition

stay away form this by all means i got it today from ebgames and i was so dissapointed sierra/vivendi has just taken a :banana::banana::banana::banana: in a box and charged you 79 bucks (+ 10 for overnighting it)

first, off the t-shirt (black in color) is nothing more than the hl2 logo (grey) on the front next to the collar, it is ruffly the size of a closed fist. where is my image of gordan or g-man or anything this is bull:banana::banana::banana::banana: its so god damn small

second: the "prima" book with more than a 100 pgs of art and walkthrough is the size of a pamphlet with a 100 pages of "squintable" images it should have been the size of a real magazine how am i suppossed to enjoy or even read this crap

3rd: then lets talk about the bonus games i didnt get mine, did you?
no cs:source, no hl:source, it wasnt on the dvd installation for hl2 and theres no mention of even a steam account (although i bought the retail version because i want a physical copy of everything) so whats the deal the big flashy box is 79 dollars worth of air and has barley enough contents to generate a rattling sound. did i pay for this because i wanted 5 bucks worth of crap i remember reading interviews with the publisits promising a leather covered game box something insnae to make this worth buying for the high paying enthusiast, well now the only enthusiasm i have is the kind you murder ppl with over this incompitance this looks like it was thrown together last minute by a half brain dead gorilla

i want my money back :banana::banana::banana::banana: you sierra :banana::banana::banana::banana: you steam and especially :banana::banana::banana::banana: you vivendi i know this is your fault and thank you valve at least i know the game will be good (that is unless i install it and find it bug ridden and the game play weak, oh i cant wait for that!, wait for my update i hope im wrong about that. as if nothing else can go wrong)

I agree with the guy... whenb i opened my box :) LOL i saw this thing , that supose to be a T-SHIRT.... hmmm i can made BETTER T-Shirt with Irony paper and my Inkjet printer... And , this think , that they call "BOOK" :) ok.... our Miami Herald its more heavy than this prima book.....

yea i got it from ebgames too what a rip, you prolly got it by mistake since i didnt get my cs:s and hl:s, im going to wait two more days to get back my x800xt from rma before i play it. but i just got off the phone with my friend says the game is pretty solid, sorry but ill be leaving the swearing intact thats just how i feel this low grade "collectors edition" is.

as it turns out since im waiting to install this the dvd does have all the games in one but has no mention of it in the menu it simply procceeds to install everything at once, which is lame what if i only want on or two games installed which is why we have menu options ppl and why sperate discs are preffered which is the whole point of a retail version

yah i just got home and opened the box and theres this ugly white tshirt with the HL2 logo...how boring...but i didnt pay for it so whatever...i'll add it to the charity clothing bag...it's way oversized for my tastes...

Hey im curious, did the collectors edition come in any nice jewel case or anything? you'd think the art department would have something to say about this crap...if it was my game...i'd have a nice dvd style case and let the art department do their own thing..come up with something cool, if not just for the collectors edition...

anyway...enough of my banter...time to check on which disk the HL2 installer is asking for now....remember back in the day when games came on 3.5s or 5.25s and you had to insert the same disk a couple times?? gyah!!

everything was boring looking the box was big and boring not even one of them ones with the opening inside cover with game clips the jewel case was boring it wasnt even one of them thin, dvd, or flexi cases it was same old lookingjewels we had for yrs, plus no game manual

Umm...you should have just got it through Steam. I did because of the ATI HL2 Coupon I had from my 9800XT. I got the GOLD back for $40 (Reg. $90). But you get alot of stuff with it....

But I was able to play it without even going out to a store and getting it. It was released at 3:00am and was able to play it right then right there.

the game is on the dvd its just no mentioned until your almost HALFWAY THROUGH THE INSTALL which is dumb it should be made clear that its there but i stand by my opinion, and registering it through steam is also lame wtf would i want a retail version if i have to go through all this online bs i want a physical copy cuz i know i wont have to deal with downed servers or unavailable bw steam can go to hell

I recieved my Collectors Box and all from getting it through Steam today. The Hat is decent anyway. I will wear it. And I posters are pretty cool. But I thought I was going to recieve the game on CD/DVDs. That is the only thing I am disappointed with.

Also you can make Steam playable offline you know. Just for LAN or just for the Single player games. If you go to the support center on www.steampowered.com it tells you how to do so. So it is not LAME. It is actually a pretty cool setup for the games and playing them online and all.

II played Hl2 today.
It's a pretty good game, but not the worth 80bugs (~50€)
I'm glad to get my cpupon free from a friend (long story, he got 10 coupons)
I will play Hl2, but the only thing I will play often is CS and CS Source (CS after 2 years first time :D)
