I got a stick of Corsair XMS PC3200 C2 last week and I'm lovin it so far. I've had it up to 225FSB w/ fully aggressive timings(minus 2T) on the 8K3A...not sure if their 3500 piece would do better or not :)

I have a new stick of OCZ PC 3500 CAS2 enhanced latency. It's a 256mb. I haven't tried it in a system where I can really push the fsb but I've seen reviews and it was very highly rated.

In terms of overall speed I'm not sure what is fastest....but I bet the OCZ would be right up there, At least this latest stuff from them.

for what i saw on some reviews GEIL are even better than XMS, OCZ it's quite good too...well, between corsair, geil and ocz i'd probably buy the cheapest cause they all overclock good...and OCZ is the cheapest for sure and the rev. 2 of their sticks performances real good, they're amazing for what they cost.

Geil has a new mod coming out 2k3. Dragon Gold. They are suppose to hit 466+... they already have the Plat available of that chip. 4.5ns I belive it is.

That should help the o/cing community I would suspect.

Is ocz what is sold as home brand at http://www.ocsystem.com ?

I've just ordered two strips of Geil PC3200 the 5ns hand picked version.

Will be poping them into my Epox 8RDA next week and seeing how they perform.

Btw Ryan you better come to my office on Monday, your PC3500 is only being detected as DDR333 on the NF7-S motherboard. LOL
I have to adjust the memory speed in the BIOS manualy to get it to run 400Mhz. LOL

This is a pretty subjective question. It seems that everyone gets different results. I think it comes down to which brand is the most consistant. Geil seems to get the best top result, but the consistancy is really bad. Corsair has the consistancy, and the high speed, but it seems like the timings need to be castrated (IMO). OCZ is doing well, but still not proven in the consistancy dept as of yet. I saw on one review that they managed 494DDR with relaxed timings. So which ram is best? You take a chance no matter what you buy. There are way too many variables.

Sorry, this is just my opinion.

Consistancy has always been the biggest issue not just to memory manufacutres. As far as motherboards, we do experience the same issue as well. There is really no way we can promise EVERY motherboard that we manufactured will perform as well as Randi or Opp's.. right? :)
The best we can do is to provide support to our product users. Forums, including any type of online help, fast turn around when you e-mail our tech support, online RMA, etc.. That is how we improve our over all product and company image.
The overclocking is a broad factor that is totally beyond every manufacture's control. I don't know if this really answers your question or not, but I truly it helps. :) and I hope you like your IT7 MAX and thank you for your support of ABIT products. :D

I love my IT7. I had one and it died. I had to scamper to find a replacement board while it went back for RMA. I tried 6 other boards. None of them lived up to my IT7. I must say though, Abit's RMA dept rox. About10 days from send to return. And I live in Southern Ontario Canada. Its about a 5 day trip (shipping). I gotta say they are on the ball.

What you say is so true. People see MrIcee, OPP, and JC getting crazy OC's from a certain brand, and expect if they buy the exact same parts, they will get the same speeds. It just doesn't work that way. I recently got a stick of Geil PC3500 Platinum Ultra, It won't even run at its rated speed unless I throw 3.2v at it. Does it run really fast? Yes, I've had it up over 450Mhz with good timings. But would I recommend it? Probably not. I had much better luck with OCZ's Rev2 PC3200. And I had absolute crappy luck with Corsair XMS 3200. So who's got the best? Once again, its a very subjective question. And I don't think that there is a clear answer. Bleh I'm babbling. ;)

bah, OCz!

I have a stick of their PC3200 in my 8k3a+/2200+ machine, and one of out every 10 boots hangs on C1h (Memory!)

I have tried swapping out the OCz for some Samsung, and it was happy.

The OCz heatspreaders don't make contact with the inner chips, either. What a waste of $5!

Oh well. I guess I'm still bitter about their olden days....
