My friend's rig:
P4 1.6A @ 16x190 water cooled
Asus P4B533-V no mod
Corsair XMS3200 C2.5 @ 2.85 Vdimm (max allowed in BIOS)

No burn in, no mod were done. Just PnP :p
Wow....you look at those timings too....*drool*
Some people get all the luck...and the others...*glares at the plume of smoke coming out of his computer* :D

Good lord. 253MHz. Jc says ugly people get all the luck, does your friend leave the house?
Just noticed the 190MHz FSB. That rig really does kick ass. You have any other benches?

He only leaves the house to buy hardware :D (j/k btw will, it's GreenBeret from MO :) ).
hipro5, I'll send your challenge to him :D Remember, he hasn't modded anything ;) and I've seen your mod :)
His CPU can do 16x194 max. Can bench 3DMark at 188/DDR500.

OK....I'll wait....BTW I can do 3DMark at 252MHz(504MHz DDR)...
I hope he'll make it after "burn-in" just to prove to the non-believers that the Corsair CAN DO A LOT.....

Lo, yes it's excellent ram :D
I have a stick that will run 256Mhz + 512mhzDDR+ relaxed timings, 3.05v. It Pc3500 Cas2, But the silly little AMD chip will not boot the OS above 195, so I can't use it, as the CPU is my memory's bottle neck. I wish the KD7's Decode wasn't so fast at normal, it would go way over that FSB otherwises.
Cheers

good board, it's stable, has enough features like spdif out, ...
one small con.
you can select x2 or x2.5 for the memory.
for example
133 x 2 = 266 (drr) wich is actually 133 so 1/1
133 x 2.5 = 333 (ddr) wich is actually 166 so 4/5 cause 133 / 4 * 5 =166.25Mhz
the motherboard doesnt allow me to change it to 3:4 wich would be
133 /3 * 4 = 177.33Mhz for the memory or 355 ddr
if there would be a fuction hardware strap or high/low. so that the system thinks that I got a 100Mhz cpu I could use 3:4 so that I could get ddr 333 with an 100Mhz cpu. but these function are abscent in the bios or are hided. So I can't use 3:4 actually. unless I could thrick the motherboard so that it believes that my 2.4b is a 100Mhz cpu instead of a 133cpu. does anyone know how I could do that?
what's the physical difference between a 100 or a 133Mhz cpu? could I actually short some pins to make my system believe that it is a 100Mhz cpu?

someone out there who can help me?
I also just noticed that when I set my fsb to 100Mhz in the bios I get a 340Mhz mem reading (170Mhz)
and when I set it to 110 I get 275 so it seems that they disable a divider when going higher than 100Mhz.
I hope that someone can please help me out
