What do you say guys? Ti4200 tries to give good advice, and he has good intentions, so why do we harrass him soo much? He really is a good guy at heart.

So lets all give some thanks to our "Xtreme Mentor" Ti4200! What do you say guys.

he can be annoying and loves to post questionable predictions, but yeah, he doesnt deserve to get bashed all the time, ive said it dozens of times already, if you have a problem with him then just ignore him or use the ignore user function of this board :)

I don't post too often but I read the forums every day and I've seen the way he's treated sometimes. :(

TBH, I give him credit for sticking around and endure such a treatment for so long.

When someone INSISTS that a Winchester plus his Ti4200 will get 25K 3Dmk2K1, he DESERVES to get knocked around a bit... :D ;)

It's all in good fun though. He's so enthusiastic, i mean he's not trying to be :banana::banana::banana:y and it seems he really belives everything he posts. I rarely if ever bash him.
Don't forget, he predicted 42 k with the new cards and we bashed. He was right.

so if you meet somebody on the street and he tells you he can fly to the moon with a silver fork you slap him? ;)

:D id just laugh and maybe listen to some more stories but i dont see why he would deserv a slap in his face for that :P

Ok, so Ti4200 makes stupid guesses and thinks his ti4200 is the best gfx around, but give the guy a break :O

I dislike people who give bad advice, "a 9700 beats the 5900 series". Some n00b could actually take this advice and make the wrong choice with their upgrade.

If people knowingly did this on my website after people had told them time and again that they were wrong. I would warn them, not make them a mentor!

I am not scared to say what everyone is thinking like some people here.

Just yesterday he gave me bad advice a a 90nm cpu at 1.8Ghz beating a newcastle at 2.2Ghz. where did he get his info from? He made it up.

I am not be nasty to him, but why does he give this bad advice when he knows it is total rubbish?

And besides, we all have to admit that when the TI4200's first came out, they were an overclockers wet dream.

He is like a stuck record, its boring, in every thread he says the same thing. He does make me laugh though sometimes with all the things he says.

Who wants to hear what ifs, this is xtreme we want action !

He opens himself up for abuse with the stuff he says, but you imagine being a new member to the forum you ask a question and this "xtreme mentor" appears and gives you some of his biased advice and recommends some rubbish. How annoyed would you be? His title needs to be changed at the very least, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx At least then new members would know how to take him.

bingo, its not the fact that he guesses about everythign and is a broken record, but its the fact that he just throws facts out of the air and NEVER supports them that pisses me off
i hate when people at school make up crap and people blow their hard earned money on BS info

it happened to me when i was first building my comp, someone made up some stupid fact and cost me 300 bucks, the XXXXX

i have no problem wiht him as a person obviously, i jsut dont want him making up facts then never even supporting them

and if i made predicitions about everything in every thread id get one right every now and then too ;)

EDIT: no hard language! ;)

Good fun, predictions, etc. NONE of this flys. The only thing that will get him in any sort of trouble would be dangerous misinformation. And if that were to happen report the post. Anyone that takes a single individuals word for advice, without further research is just as ignorant as the individual giving the poor advice.

Everyone is welcome to post an opinion here, this does include GF4, If you feel an opinion, or statement is flawed, feel free to post, and support your statement. Bashing/personal attack, ANY member here is against the rules, and if it is seen by a mod it WILL result in an edited post and a warning.
