I have just installed d2ol and i was wondering if running this and SETI@home will pose any problems on my computer, i had SETI set to run constantly when im browsing and not gaming, then turned it off when i was gaming, i will leave d2ol on all of the time becuase it is not a high priority program so it wont eat my cycles, but will these 2 programs clash and fight for cycles or will one just nullify the other by hogging all of my CPU cycles

SETI Classic or BOINIC?
They should function the same. I'll do a brief test with BOINIC and D2OL right now.

SETI Classic my only other question is that i downloaded D2OL and all it has done for like 45 minutes now is say docking candidate, is this bad or does it mean that it is loading, i only think that this is bad becuase when i go to the personal stats thing it says that i have done no work.
Thanks guys

Well here are my results with BOINIC and D2OL:
When BOINIC is running, it uses all of the idle cpu cycles and D2OL gets none. If BOINIC is paused, D2OL of course gets all of the idle cpu cylces.
I'll test it out with classic SETI later tonight to see if things change.
You might be able to get some program that puts them both on the same prirority (kind of like D2OL daddy changes priorities). Let me know if you need any help with that.

Ok, I did some more testing with the classic client.
Basically it is the same deal as with BOINIC, SETI takes all of the cpu power from D2OL instead of splitting it 50-50.
I have only glanced over this program, but it might just do the trick at running both D2OL and SETI at the same priority.
