View Full Version : Is that good enough for my psuedo XT-PE?

Got mine Pro VIVO mod to XT-PE from day one, oc to 580/600 with watercooling alone.

Now with a little help from pencil, it managed this:

http://www.hkepc.com/bbs/attachments/CFjc_x800xtpe_645_600_3dm05.jpg

It's clean in atitool at 640/600.

http://www.anti-x.org/bbs/attachments/forumid_13/CMvr_x800xtpe_640_600_atitool.jpg

Room temperature is 28C, still pretty hot tropical day here. All stuff running inside closed Lian Li PC60 except the big ass double heatercore on top of the case.

Now scanning again at 645/600. At the moment I don't have multimeter so got no idea on the Vcore. I only put a couple light strokes so shouldn't be too high.....

wow very nice... did 580/600 3dmark05 change much between stock cpu speed and 2600mhz ? cause my real X800XT PE does 590/606 on stock heatsink at stock cpu speed only achieved 6641 for 3dmark05 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=275385

edit: thought that 7k score was with 580/600 clocks :o see it's 645 core heh

which drivers you using ?

pretty dangerous volt modding blind there

Nice OC on that VC :) 60Mhz more helps.

Youre kidding, right? :stick:

Blindfolded OCing pwns! I used to be able to maneuver my 8rda+ bios without the display plugged in, i got fubared from bad modding though.

VERY nice clocks there bro!

OK here are a lot of benchmarks I just made, with heavy optimizations mind you. :D

A64 3200+ 1MB oc to 2.65GHz (265x10), watercooled.
Kingston 512MB ValueRam w/Hynix D43 oc to 265MHz 2.5-3-3
DFI Lanparty UT NF3
X800Pro VIVO mod to XT-PE, oc to 645/605, watercooled
Windows 2000 SP4

These are CPUmark99 and SuperPi of my 2.65GHz, I think it score pretty well.

3DMark2001 at 2.65GHz, without overclocking the XT-PE yet. A little low comparing with others, just a S754 afterall.

Highest 3DMark2001 score for my system, pretty low isn't it. Ain't no FX55... You can see that 3DMark2001 is more of system benchmark than graphic alone. The massive oc on X800XT-PE only add 1K or so to the score.

Highest 3Dmark2003, finally breaking the almighty 15K.

Now this is new 3DMark2005 score, system optimizations hardly added much.

very nice scores... seems there's still alot to tweak seeing as I get similar 3d2k1 and AM3 scores with 45mhz less on core GPU

But then your 3700+ got 50MHz advantage, which is a lot especially in 3dm01. :stick:

As winter comes tonight temperature dropped some 5C, the core now oc to 662, thanks mother nature for the free gift. :D

Great clockage there ;-)

Yeah self made blueberry cheese cake, with great help from my gf. I'm a big fan of cheesecake. :D My favorite is chocolate swirl. I've been skinny as a rail all my life, so no weight issues. ;) BTW, 660 on the core is awesome! :toast: My heatsink doesn't even really get warm @ 1.8v, so I might see how far she'll go. :D

very nice 661mhz on the core  but i suggest you get a multimeter soon as who knows what voltage you're pumping through that card!

Finally got a MM for cheap. Looped 6 hours of pure 3dmk01 mother nature at 648/600, no artifacts at all. The Vgpu while looping measured 1.66V, 1.73V when idle. The highest temperature reached 44C for GPU and 53C for ambient when radiator fans set to silent. All components inside closed Lian Li PC60. The small ramsinks were very hot on touch, begging for some active cooling.

Now I'm going to find the sweet pot of the vmod - the highest artifact free plus 24x7 oc with lowest Vgpu possible.

Here's another milestone, looks like it's gonna hit 700 with colder room temperature, a winter breeze this weekend gonna help.

LOL...Aquamark isnt really an updated benchie anyway...like "20,000 for high detail settings" tells you how long ago it was actually a benchmark. Its like Futuremark does, if they start reaching 20,000 in 3dmark03, then they bring out 05. I wonder when AQMRK 4s coming out.

Hey ahfung, seriously, 7K on WC alone is SOME ACCOMPLISHMENT. Though I'm surprised with the 15K in 03....How come its the opposite with Nvidia cards:

1/2 of 03 score is more than 05 score and
Twice of 05 score is more than 03 score.

....And ATI has it opposite (higher) as you go back to previous versions.

Nice stuff bro, our systems aren't reallly comparable at all, but I have cleared 7k in 05 and am almost at 15.5k in 03 on plain water.....with my XT-PE aircooled at 1.62v 630MHz....only limited by temps.....might try "exposing" the system to some outdoorsy temps tonight. ;)

666mhz core is really nice just on water, did you voltmod the vmem aswell?

Hehe, well how's 645MHz on my XT-PE at 1.62v on the stock cooler? :banana4:

This depresses me. Mine has a very slight vmod and is only hitting 575 / 590. I want 650+ :(

Seeing threads like this tempts me to sell mine and grab an XT and see how far it'll go... Maybe after I get watercooling I'll get another XT instead of some ram. Anyone want to buy this one? :p:

But good clocks on that man. A lot of the people with 650+ cards are actually VIVOs that have been flashed. Awesome to buy a card for that cheap and zoom it far, far past XT PE speeds ;)

But there are also a lot of VIVO's that overclock really bad, some don't even make it the standard XT PE speed with voltmods.
If I could choose I'd buy an XT PE because it's guaranteed to run high speeds, 600+ speeds is just luck.
But if you haven't got the money like me, VIVO is a very good option, perhaps with some Arctic cooling.

My VIVO does only 525/570 with stock cooler and no voltmods; I'm not going to voltmod it until I get some better cooling because 80C isn't healthy IMO. :(

Wow, the generalization was immense right there ;)

Nice scores BTW, I'll have to volt mod my 9800 Pro and see if I can get any higher with it.
