I've been playing Doom3, and I think it kicks ass. :) Graphics are superb..

My question is Is Halo 2 better? What kind of game is it? How are the graphics compare to Doom3?

Very tough call. if you like console-style games halo2 is very very good. if your more of a comp game person hl2 is it. hl2's graphics are better than halo2, their styles, gampeplay and story are very different tho. I plan on getting both, beacsue im a huge fan of HL1, and i also like to play console style shooters with my friends and such.

After playing about 6 hours of it.....
the graphics are better, the "engine" is mUCH improved! Nearly everything is interactive and capable of showing damage. Plot, well.........it's ok but I think I was hoping for more. New weapons, vehicles and new enemies, oh YEAH! All in all a 8.5 in single player, 9.5 in multi-player........

i haven't played halo2, but i know a guy who has played both, he says that Hl2 is much better, roughly 1000x better according to him. I think he might just be exagerrating.

halo2 is a pos imo... it looks nice for a console game... but compared to pc games it has "OK" graphics.

story? what story? there is no plot... plot could be told in 100 words... :rolleyes:
i wish ms would have never bought bungie... halo would have been such a great game *sigh* it was originally supposed to be like myth, it wasnt planned to be the lame shooter it was turned into when ms bought it... :/

remember to put things in perspective, Halo2 is being run on an aging Celeron processor @ 700mhz, with an equally old Nvidia VPU. If you liked Halo I would say You'll like Halo2, not a huge Halo fan so I'm not thrilled with it.

I played halo (xbox) to death, went to tourneys, played on xbc TONS. I was voted best sniper at one point, and I got the illegal version of h2 mid-oct and needless to say I sold my xbox and have never / will never touch a xbox controller again. Bigger let down than Doom3 IMO. Its fun for n00bs, but terrible for people accustomed to skill = kills
