Those rigs that have recently stopped conforming better be down because of routine maintenance. :stick:

We still have at least 15 teams to knock down before anybody gets to take a small break. ;)

Damn... we really need someone to look into why the service stops like that. I think there have been a couple people who have said this now. :(

If you run XP you can right click My Computer, click manage, services, then set up the D2OL service to restart if it stops.

i took out my DFI Infinity out of the lookp for almost two weeks due to some volt-modding and OCing fun.... but it's pretty much back and even stronger - nearly 2.7GHz on air, baby :thumbsup:

odd... I have 14 nodes on services and I've had no problems :(

Our production is way down... even with me picking up my production big time, ddtung ramping up, and all the new rigs we have picked up...

We are losing far too many cpu cycles to make up for :(

The problem you are having with the service stopping is caused by a user logging off.
It actually isn't a problem with the service it is a Java problem.
What happens is that when a user logs off Java receives a signal and stops running.
D2OL can no longer toggle between Gridwin and Dockwin and so stops a few mins after someone logs off.

There is a Fix ;)

Put this in the d2ol.lax file
lax.nl.java.option.additional=-Xrs

:dammit: my xp rig shutdown this night,i had set it at saving power,you know that the screen shutsoff afther a set time off 15min,but it stopt folding some time this night,becaus i didint get it back to work this morning,so i had to restart it,therefore i had only 111 candis yesterday,damm.

My PIII is set up this way also but he dos not shutdown,he keeps on working,now thats is strange,PIII is ok but XP is having troubles with it.

And now FUGGER past me,i will get you again FUGGER,i have to let the PIII speak:D(buffer)

To all having problems with D2OL stopping.
It is caused by users logging off.

If somebody logs in and then logs out either at the console or remote desktop
D2OL will stop.

At logoff signals are sent to running applications to notify them.
Java will stop if it receives a logoff signal.
Without the Java process D2OL cant toggle between dockwin and gridwin so it stops shortly after someone logs off.

adding :
lax.nl.java.option.additional=-Xrs
to your d2ol.lax file tells Java to ignore the logoff signals.

Setting the service to restart doesn't help with this problem because as far as the Service Handler is concerned D2OL is still running.
It is the Java process which switches between gridwin and dockwin that stops.

Hi, i will try this now, it does it on both the XP rigs and the win2000pro rigs, i had a feeling it was down to people loging on and of all the time, thats why i was runing as a service because if i dont then people always restart the pc for some reason or log my user of which normally means if im running it not as a service it wont run.
cheers, owen

HeHeHe

I just realised why my pc was folding so badly :D

I had my L1 and L2 caches switched off!, im now at 220x11 (2.4ghz) and i should be getting about 100 a day now :D, and soon ill get the garage pc going ;)

I was wondering why my games were being slower!, normally i could play ravensheild maxxed out without a single slowdown, but then it started slowing down, so i wondered, what the fish is going on, so i went to the bios, thought it was the memory, but i then went to advanced bla bla, and it said L1 L2 cache disable (probably from when i upgraded bios)

so now im happy :D
