Im running my winchester 3000+ at 282x9 - 2.54ghz at 1.55v, and a 6800GT at 435/1200 for 01 i get only 25,372 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8235243) ..... Im not sure why, it seems like i should be 1-2k higher? But my ram is only running at 3-4-4-8 at like 229mhz.... what do you think my 01 score should be with these settings, and how much is my ram holding my score back? If i was running 1:1 at 282HTT how much higher would my score be?

Simply put, 6800 series cards suck for 2001SE (compared to ATi's equivalents) and you need a higher FSB and tighter timings. Windows 2000 would also boost your score by about 500 points if you care enough about benchmarking to install it. Also, closing explorer.exe and disabling services you don't use would boost your score a bit.
I'm not exactly sure about running 1:1, but I'm certain it would give you at LEAST a couple hundred points, and probably more. I'm just guessing at that because I've still got a 9800 Pro and Athlon XP setup. Why don't you try and let us know how much of an improvement you get...

Because with my KHX PC4000 i cant go higher than 255 1:1. Im trying to decide if its worth it to spend $275 on new ram.

your lobbies are very low, I bet your ram is costing you over 1k marks. If you cant afford expensive ram, at least buy corsair value, its 2.5-3-3-7 timings will give u a huge boost. 3-4-4-8 is no good below 300fsb anyway. also consider upgrading to win2k. I dont know why people say the 6800gt is no good in 3dmark2001, it is good if you use LOD to get the nature up!

Yeah im around 260fps in nature. I had a feeling my ram is costing me big marks. Ill probably get some Gskill PC4400 or OCZ EL rev2. I had some corsair value ram in my backup rig actually, so i tried it out in this setup a few days ago but it would only do 210. I wish i still had my BH5.

somethings wrong, my corsair value does 250fsb at 2.5-3-3-7! I have another stick I didnt try but it should do at least 240! maybe you need to use my timings

That dragothic score looks very low, I think it is your memory. Compare to this score

try running 2:1 ratio.
my Kingston hyperX is possibly the worst overclocking PC4000 CL3 ram on the planet. can't do 2-2-2-5 at stock PC3200 speeds, and only 2-3-3-5 at 216mhz. I tried raising vcpu and vdimm to maxx, didn't work.
I need some OCZs rev 2.

Yeah my ram really sucks. The Gskill PC4400 is only $250, its very tempting

i learned the hard way, but i won't skimp out on ram budget anymore. how about Ballistix Pc4000 or ocz pc5000? those are killers. at first i was leaning towards Corsair LL , but the oczs just look to impressive lately.

thats why I have been avoding any pc4000 ram since untill recently, all had 3-4-4-8 timings which are worse than 2-2-2-5 async! even corsair value is decent for the money, mine did pc4000 clocks at 2.5-3-3-7!
