I was looking, and is there any reason to get some $420~ X800 Pro VIVO over a true 16 pipes $455 XT?

well, thats getting to be a extremely complicated question these days...
see some of the X800XT's aren't ever gonna be as fast as X800XT PE's... cause they use 1.6NS ram on one side, then 2.0NS ram on the other.
but they do have the 16 pipelines by default.
most VIVO's minus the latest build from powercolor, are usually full 1.6NS ram.
so if they modded, they would be just as good as a X800XT PE.
but theres the risk... it might not mod to 16P.
so it's kinda hard to say what ones better.
personally, I'd take the chance on a VIVO myself.

The only reason I can think of, is the RAM. I held a magnifying glass up to my monitor, lol, but couldn't tell if that XT has 1.6ns or 2.0ns chips. ;) It probly doesn't make that much diff anyways. The biggest reason most of us flashed VIVOs, was cause there weren't many XT PEs at the time, and no XTs yet.

I see, thanks for bringing that up, I didn't know the 1.6/2.0 was that big of an issue with XT's, might as well get a sapphire vivo then.

just steer clear of powercolor. you made the right choice
My X800XT from connect3d has 1.6ns ram on both sides ;)
I also know 2 other guys that have X800XT's that have 1.6ns on both sides...
