Hi guys,
I have a D0 3.6 and an Asus p5p800.
The mobo came with 1003 bios and doesn't support cpu lock free.

The official site of Asus lets us download the cpu lock free bios 1005, and I did it.

Suddenly the multiplier drop to x14 from x18 and the cpu started with 2.8 ghz as expected.

but there is no control over it, I mean if you want to go back to x18, you have to reinstall the 1003 bios as far as I see.

Also I don't have any clue about the VID function under "cpu lock" in bios.

Any idea?

yes I already found it.

just go to the cpu settings in bios,

only "enable" the cpu lock free, and reboot.

get in to the bios and you will see the drop pf the multiplier.
