Well I just wanted to let you guys know how much of a performance jump there is when overclocking your videocards. I used the stress test found in the main menu of CS:Source.
System Specs:
AMD 64 3500+ (IHS REMOVED) @ 2700 mhz - 270x10
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum with bios 1.3b6
OCZ Dual Channel 512*2 Platinum Enhanced Latency Rev 2.0 @ 270mhz 2.5-3-3-6-1t 1:1
OCZ Ram Booster - Custom Cooled / Heatsinked
Sapphire x800Pro ViVo GC16 1.6ns Memory
OCZ PowerStream 520 Watt Adjustable Rail PSU
CS:Source Setup
Everything set as high as it can go in advanced menu
Water set to reflect all
Resolution 1280x768 32bit color
6x Anti-Ailiasing
16x Anisotropic Filtering
Video Card Clocks and Results:
All tests ran on Omega 8.07 beta drivers
GPU: 475
MEM: 450
CS:Source Stress Test FPS: 111.1
GPU:600
MEM: 575
CS:Source Stress Test FPS: 127.9
Quite a big difference, I can't wait to get my new monitor so I can play 1980x1200
I have played at 1980x1200, and the writing is tiny, but the game looks literally amazing I even took some screenshots while playing at that res, but they are about 7mb each lol
