Prometeia shippment delays??

I had recieved a shippment notification from UPS on the 18th of October. I thought that meant my unit was being picked up at iceecomputers by UPS... NOT....I found out today that they are just now being shipped. They said that the entire Cargo shipment from Denmark was being held by Customs do to impropper documentaion or something similar. They said that no one in the U.S.A had recieved any prometeia unless they bought direct from Chip-Con and payed a premium for shipping. I'm just wondering out loud here....anyone have theirs yet??

My last contact with them confirms what Hardass said...6th at the soonest! Unless you actually get a tracking number, it has not been shipped to you yet.:D

Hey, I'm pretty sure I can't afford one of these, but can anyone tell us what they go for in U.S. dollars? I communicated with their sales people a few months ago, and they said around $1700 of their dollars, if I remember right. Plus they weren't setup for international shipping yet. Thanx. :)

I've had my prometeia on order since oct 12.
the last few weeks have been the slowest weeks of my life.
it doesn't seem to be getting any better....
seems like I may get it in maybe 2 weeks from today if I am lucky.
I orderd mine from XTwerkz.com and they are great about keeping me informed just this is getting almost painfully slow....

I spoke to xtwerkz on Monday and they said they should have them in on Friday and ship out next week.

I ordered mine direct from chip-con got it 2 days later Total for shipping was $148.00 to west coast?

Here is an email I got from my distributor a week ago, dated 10-31-02

Will,

I spoke with the shipping company today. The shipments have arrived in
the U.S. as of Tuesday and are expected to clear customs tomorrow. Once
that happens it'll take 4-5 days to ship out and arrive at the shop.

I'll send out emails to everyone, with the first one going to you :), as
soon as I get a tracking number from the shipping company and a definite
ETA.

I got email last night..they are on US soil but still stuck at Customs awaiting clearance. Sounds like a few more days. They want this as much as we do guys, hang in there.

Apparently, customs is having trouble with paperwork that Chip-con sent them. XTW updated their eta to Nov 15th.

I wanted to send out an update to everyone who has pre-ordered a Prometeia. Firstly, I wanted to say I am sorry this process has taken so long. When we originally began accepting preorders we expected the units to arrive in late September. However, due to the changes in packing the Prometeia Chip-con was forced to delay the initial order for approximately three weeks. The units arrived in NY about 10 days ago and have been awaiting clearance by U.S. customs. We fully expected to have the units by now and to have already shipped them out. However, since this is a new product, I believe Customs is giving it a close look. I hear this has been occurring a lot after 9/11. In any event, the Prometeias are supposed to clear any day now. Once they clear it will take about five business days for them to arrive at the shop and they will be shipped out either that day or the next morning.



Should not be too much longer. I hate how they are in NY now, and then will be shipped across the country and back. I live in CT just a 30min drive from NY. :(

All I can say is there should be a FLOOD of benching going on around here, when this shippment of prommy's gets out to members around here.:banana: The ORB will be a rockin':D It just seems like we've hit a brick wall:brick: , if it isn't AMD with their chip shortage, it's the long, long, wait for the king of COOL...THE PROM QUEEN:D :D

Just got confirmation today from US Customs that the goods have been released, so the shipments should be getting out to you very shortly, as soon as they hit the dealers early next week.

can say though guys when you get your hands on it the wait will be worth it and forgotten .... im in uk and had mine a couple of weeks now and they are all they are made out to be absoulutly awsome peices of kit
