I only recently came across these forums, and read about some of the crazy overclocks u guyz seem to be achieving:D Proper hardcore o/c guyz in here, so wot better place to ask for some advice:)

Ive got a P4 1.6a and im running it at :

2608mhz (163FSB) @1.7v using the retail intel HSF,
Idle cpu temp ~42C
Full load temp ~50C

I run it at this speed 24/7 and its 100% stable, no crashes or anything wen playing games.

Is it worth me gettin a better cooler, if so which one? The temps seem pretty reasonable as they are now on the current stock HSF, but if i wanted to push over 2.7ghz, nearer 2.8ghz if not higher, wot HSF wud u recommend.

Also i wud need to increase the voltage but max it allows me is 1.7v. Wots that mod i need to do to get more voltage, and is it simple without risk of damaging the cpu?

Thx in advance.

Get the Cooler-master HeatPipe for p4..(i don't remember the exact model name- i think that it's IH7)/AX478/MCX40000..all of them perform great.
