Ok so I just installed this game for like the 3rd time & each time I have a problem where by I cant select a resolution 1280x1024. The option is isn't there!!!!.

I installed the game on my 2nd rig which has a crap 9600 256mg card and there's loads of resolution choices (more than on my main rig) including 1280x1024 and it allows me to select it.

I've tried different drivers and it doesn't change anything, anyone else got any ideas. Specs are as in my sig, drivers currently installed are 66.81 but I've tried others to no avail.

Cheers

Jim

as you seem to already have suspected, I would say driver issue.. I really don't know about current drivers, however, in the past Nvidia drivers have been notorious for leaving behind remnants, which can cause all sorts of issues..

Give NVCleaner (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=167) a try, it should clean the old install, and might fix your problem.

Got it sorted now thanks. Turns out you need to edit an auto detect text file as the game scans your pc & then picks what it thinks is best for you :( .

However it often makes wrong assumptions and this is when things get :banana::banana::banana:ed up. i.e. it thinks a radeon 9600 256mb card is better than a 6800 128mb card. Oh dear :)
