hi guys
i thought i make a thread where all can give information about theire xp2400+, including stepping, how it overclocks and what cooling were used:
my xp 2400+ from Germany
stepping: AIUCB 0240XPBW
overclock: 2358mhz vcore 2.05 volt
cooling: alpha pal 8045 with delta cooler
i'm really disappointed with my xp2400+ and sell it for another try;)

Not bad, my week 42 AIUCB does 2.3Ghz at 1.85 volts :)
It boots into Windows ok at 2.4Ghz/2.00 volts but isn't very stable. This is with a AX7/53cfm fan.

I put a post up asking ppl to PM me their steppings etc as I'm compiling an online dbase... very poor response so far...

And to be honest, I think "stepping: AIUCB 0240XPBW
overclock: 2358mhz vcore 2.05 volt
cooling: alpha pal 8045 with delta cooler" is about as good as you can expect from a 2400+ cooled with Air...

Yep definitely I mean he's already at 2.05 volts at that speed as it is.

2,3-2,4 gig on air is ok, but not with 2.05 volt:(
some are reaching 2400mhz wirh stock voltage!!!!!

Yep but thats because their temps are so low that it doesn't even need a voltage adjustment until it breaks past a certain point.

Yep, but deffinitly NOT on AIR ;)
Those chips are verry rare, and nobody has an idea what stepping is better then the other. Even 2 the same steppings OC completly different.
I'm guessing it's like with bullets, one machine just makes better (thighter grouping ctc's) other batches from different machines suck bigtime.
I'm guessing one machine in AMD factory is spitting out verry good chips, the rest are "normal"

does the temperature has influence on how much vcore the xp needs
Certainly does :)
Colder ya get, less voltage ya need to run same speed.

my aiucb 0241 only does 2360 which sucks and it takes 2.15 to get it there

Both of mine are AIUCB 0241, from the AMD road tour hand outs

The Fedex dude finally showed up about 10 minutes ago.   Mine says AIUCB 0242 SPGW (without the spaces of course). I'll edit some air-cooled #'s into this post later. Sorry, I'm just psyched up. :D ;) :D

AMD has good looking results. But until amd has a processor that matches the best of intel, ill be sticking with intel for the time being.

Isn't this a thread about xp 2400+ steppings overclock? What's the connection then? Do you have a 2400+ overclock and stepping information to share?
BTW, mine is in my sig.

Yep. The resistance increases with temperature for every conducting material. From Ohm's Law V=IR, the lower the resistance the lower the voltage. :)
As for the exact temperature resistance of reistance, it is different for every conducting material.
One interesting note:
For semi-conductors, the resistance drops as temperature increases. There is a different model for this effect, but this is not an E&M or solid state physics class...

Yay! Doping of semiconductors...
I got my 2400+ AIUCB 0241 today...I will need some better cooling equipment before I get oc-ing though...Hoever the tepm outside is in the 20s F so I might just open the window...hehehe.

it is advertised on googlegear Hey Bro, the AXDA line is like a model #, and the stepping is on the line under that. :)

My AICUB "9" 0243 does 2.32ghz on AIR with 2.1v
My AICUB "9" 0239 does 2.26ghz on AIR with 1.85v
