Hi All

I've finally finished my system and have got the maximum I can get out of it I believe. The specs are...

Athlon 64 3700+
DFI nForce3 UT250
1Gb Geil Ultra X PC3200 - (512Mb used while benching)
Connect 3D X800 XT
2x WD Raptor 36Gb - Raid 0

CPU is watercooled and GFX has Arctic Cooler.

Results...

I'm quite pleased :D Only slightly annoying thing is that 270 HTT x 10 for 2.7Ghz will not pass any benchmarks but will memtest fine. But 269 HTT x 10 will work all day every day no problems. Oh well, not exactly a problem tho!

Nice setup you got there.

What are your temps like.

Nice scores, its seems though the 3700+ could do a bit better.

Nice setup you got there.
What are your temps like.Temps are 40 Deg C during benchmarks with 1.75 vcore. Using normal 1.50v at idle it runs at 29 Deg C. Those temps are from a probe next to the chip, and are about 0.5v - 1.0v out from the bios temps, which is quite close for a change.

=']Nice scores, its seems though the 3700+ could do a bit better.Thats what I'm thinking too. But it will not do 2700Mhz, 2690 is fine, but if I add that extra 1Mhz on the HTT it will get into windows fine but all benchmarks fail. I;ve tried upping the vcore from 1.75 all the way to 1.90 and it is no different. So I'm ruling out the voltage not being sufficient for it.

I've tried 270 x 10 with the timings I'm using 2.5,3,3,5 - no go, I've tried lowering them to 3,5,5,10 and still will not work. I've upped the AGP and chipset voltage and notthing.

I've also tried the normal 225 HTT x 12 again with tight and slack timings on the ram and all voltages.

So I'm stuck. Any ideas anyone?

Nice scores

but like =[PULSAR]= said, can't you push the cpu higher?
never mind, i overlooked your post above :p:

Did you try going for you max clock with DRAM frequency at 100 and your LDT multiplier at 1x and your chipset voltage to 1.8V. What is your LDT multiplier when at 270FSB?

Thats a thought. I've left the LDT at Auto for the last bout of testing, I'll have another bash tonight and set it down to 1 and try the ram on the low ratio too.

Cheers
