I installed my new Leadtek 6800 NU a few days ago. When I plugged in the power cable, I heard a beep sound from my video card :( (I had not powered up my rig)

I tried to remove my OCZ DDR Booster. Success, the beep sound is gone. But the problem is that I don't want to remove my booster :( Any idéa how I can use my 6800 and a ddr booster?

My machine beeps when I boot it up with Booster and 6800nu but in my case I power down at the plug socket in the wall and then power up again and the beep is gone !

Does it happen if you turn the Booster all the way down and then power up ? Also when you boot up does the Booster start off high and then settle down to a lower value, once it has settled down and you unplug restart does it start off at a high value again and do you get the beep ?

Regards

Andy

I have not tried to boot up my rig with the booster yet. I was so scared by the beeep sound ;). But it is not dangerous to do that? (Not more dangerous then something else I would do?)

TicTac: Are you sure that this could be caused by the psu?
1. I have a 550W Antec
2. The computer is actually turned off. It shouldn't need too much power in standby mode
