hey guys

i have this DTR3400 chip but my DFI took a dump on me and i have to RMA it so until then i need somthing. since the vnf3 is only 78 bucks it makes the perfect throw away mb for me! anyone know if this mb will work with a DTR chip? will it boot without me having to put a regular 64 chip in it? i rember someone in here posting a thread and he had this mb. also what about the an50r that sucker has to be dirt cheap by now!?! ill take anything at the moment as long as it will run a DTR chip...

thx perc,

they added support for DTR in bios 2.0 (current bios = 4.0)
the vnf3-250 isnt that bad :stick:

Its a decent board. Overvolts on the Vcore quite a bit. 1.7V in BIOS (max) gets me 1.74-1.77V real.

Where can I get the new BIOS? I'll give it a shot. I dont have a DTR tho.

so if i buy this vnf3 i should have no problems booting into windows long enough to update the bios to version4? i dont want to wind up with a board that wont boot without a regular chip in it first... anyways if what you guys are saying is true (wich im sure it is) then thats what i wanted to hear...

thx perc,
