I remember there was talk that Sapphire X800Pro VIVOs recently can not be bios flashed to X800XT ??? Any truth to that ? Not many X800Pro VIVOs are available in OZ only Powercolor and Sapphire X800Pro VIVOs.
I saw Sapphire X800Pro VIVO recently come into stock in OZ, so put in an order, but now I'm not sure if it's bios flashable to X800XT ?

Where'd ya hear that from??
I remember making a big fuss over my PowerColor X800Pro VIVO not being able to flash but I have since found a way (someone actually showed/directed me to it)...
There's a modified flashrom & an "empty.bin" file that you download & flash your VIVO with. DON'T reboot after you flashed that bios as it clears whatever's in your VC's bios.
Oh yeah, make sure that you have the X800XT bios on that floppy as well cos after you flashed you VC with the "empty.bin" file, reflash it with the X800XT file & it should work...
Well it did with my P/Color VIVO anyways.... The biotch would not for the life of it flash & when it did, there was no way to install drivers as the DeviceID was unrecognised by ATI drivers...
Can you link me to where you heard that Sapphire VIVO couldn't be flashed??
Cheers,

or was it about Sapphire's change with X800Pro non-vivo's connected bridges or something changing in future cards ??

Probably me babbling on about my X800Pro VIVO not being able to flash...
Try & check once more for that thread can you??
I'd like to hear any info on that as well.
You thinking about grabbing a VIVO & flashing it??
If it was me, I'd grab the card first, make sure about their return policy & then try it out. If no good, then return the thing or swap it for another....
BTW, you still got those BH5 for sale?? PM me if you still have them...
If you still have them, are you interested in any trades??
